Welcome to the Department of the Archives at the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge. The mission of the Archives Department is to collect, organize, preserve and make available for research the historical and vital records of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, as well as materials which reflect the work of the Church within the Diocese. The purpose of the Department is to promote an understanding of the Catholic Church, its history and its heritage in the community.
