ADMINISTRATIVE CABINET
The Cabinet coordinates the operations of the central administrative offices of the diocese.

PRESBYTERAL COUNCIL
The Presbyteral Council aids the bishop in the governance of the entire diocese, especially in matters relating to priestly life and parochial ministry.

CLERGY PERSONNEL BOARD
The Clergy Personnel Board advises the bishop regarding assignments of priests and deacons.

COLLEGE OF CONSULTORS
The College of Consultors, chosen from among the members of the Presbyteral Council, advises the local Ordinary on certain specific matters, and when the See is vacant, elects a priest to serve temporarily as Diocesan Administrator.

DEANS
The Dean is also known as a Vicar Forane, literally "representative of the bishop in a region" of the diocese. There are six deaneries in the Diocese of Baton Rouge, and within each its Dean helps to coordinate pastoral ministry there, especially by assisting the clergy.

DIOCESAN FINANCE COUNCIL
The Finance Council is appointed to assist the Bishop in the financial administration of the Diocese.

BUILDING REVIEW BOARD
This Board reviews plans and specifications for all new construction and major renovations and repairs in diocesan facilities, parishes and schools.

LITURGY, ART AND MUSIC BOARD
This diocesan Commission on Liturgy, Art and Music assists pastors and parish liturgical committees in providing appropriate liturgical services and environment for worship.

DIOCESAN SCHOOL BOARD
This Board assists the diocesan Superintendent of Schools in setting policy for and overseeing the Catholic schools of the Diocese.
