Vocations and Seminarians
The diocesan Vocations Office coordinates efforts of recruitment and
formation of priests and sisters. By working with clergy and laity in the
promotion of priestly and religious vocations, and by collaboration with
seminary officials and formation directors, the Vocations Office seeks to
provide dedicated and competent leaders for the Church.

In January 2010 parishes in the Diocese
of Baton Rouge again will participate in Called By Name,
a program of vocation awareness. This program focuses attention not
only on prayer for vocations but also seeks to recognize gifts and
potential for leadership and service in individual persons, and so to
call them forth to consider priesthood and religious life.
