Natasia Kissinger founded Choose the Child in 2002. She and her husband, Ricky, are blessed with six beautiful children - five daughters and one son, from ages 9 -24.
As a former teacher, she is dedicated to educating children on the value of life and how important it is to love & respect others – no matter age, ethnicity, size, beliefs, etc. She also believes that children need to know that they are created in the image and likeness of God and CAN make a difference, even with the smallest of actions. By teaching our children to pray for, respect and support those in need, we raise children that stand for what they believe in and, most importantly, come to know that God will provide.
Natasia is an Honorary Member of the Advisory Board for the ACCESS Pregnancy Center of Catholic Charities in New Orleans, and was a member of the Advisory Board for New Orleans Right to Life. She is currently the Moderator for the Culture of Life Club at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and a certified Theology of the Body Instructor.
“The Footprints for Life program provides a comprehensive approach to forming our youth to respect human life from conception until natural death. It teaches our children that we are created in the image and likeness of God and are called to be His hands and feet on earth to respect the dignity of all people with the love of Christ. Footprints for Life has been extremely fruitful in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.”– Most Reverend Gregory Aymond, Archbishop of New Orleans
Footprints for Life is now being used at Annunciation School in Bogalusa, St. Peter in Covington, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Belle Chasse, St. Edward the Confessor and St. Louis King of France in Metairie, Our Lady of Lourdes in Slidell, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Kenner, Christian Brothers (Canal Street campus) and St. Dominic in New Orleans.
