Deacon Joseph Perry

I have been married for twenty-five years to Christy and we have one daughter, Claire Frances.  She is a sophomore at St. Michaels and we are parishioners of St. George.  Christy and I are both graduates of LSU and have called Baton Rouge  home for most of our lives.  I have worked in Medical Sales for almost thirty years and Christy is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.  I was blessed with devout parents who lived their faith and took great pride in teaching their children to incorporate God into our lives.  Being accepted into the Permanent Diaconate program has been a great blessing in my life.  It comes with challenges, balancing family, work, and school, but the rewards have been worth the effort.  It has both challenged and enlightened me in ways I could never have imagined, and I look forward to the journey God has ahead of me!
