I am the son of Joseph Raymond Phillip and Beverly Alma Cloutier, both natives of Maine and was raised in two countries and 7 homes, with my three siblings: Michael, David and Stephanie. I received my B.S. Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University in 1986. My career has taken me to 4 states, 7 companies, with Baton Rouge being my home city with 3 of the 7 companies.
My grandmother, known to me as Grandmama, was the eternal light of my Catholic faith. She was the evangelist that called me and guided me to the diaconate program, it was the Holy Spirt, through Father Cleo Milano, that encouraged my discernment to serve our Church as Deacon, God willing.
I grew up a cradle Catholic and like so many, after I learned how to walk, I have been walking away, walking around, walking towards, and now wanting to fully commit my walk with the Catholic Church to serve all that journey, as I have, to know the grace of God and accept and share the Holy Spirit with all I meet. This allows the Holy Spirit to bring each of us fully into a loving relationship and community of our Faith in the Holy Trinity.
